Online retailer Amazon has briefly listed a remastered edition of the shooter game Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. The original game released in 2009.
The listing is interesting because the remastered edition of Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare received incredibly negative player feedback when it released in 2016.
The game was only available bundled with Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare, which also received negative reviews, and was eventually released as a separate title.
If correct, it shows that publisher Activision will continue to release poor remasters of classic Call of Duty games in a final attempt to milk whatever is left of the franchise's success.
Compared to the original, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered featured updated graphics and an incredibly poor multiplayer experience. It is expected that the next remaster will follow the same trend.
