Bandai Namco has announced that the mysterious, monster-filled interactive story game Little Nightmares will be releasing on April 28th 2017.
In the game players play as Six, a little girl who tries to escape from the scary world around her called The Maw. Players must help her reach places in order to advance the game.
Little Nightmares has been in development since 2014 when the development studio Tarsier Studios received nearly $100,000 in funding for the game's prototype from the Nordic Game Program. In 2014 the game was called Hunger.
With the release of the release date Bandai Namco has also released a new trailer and released details on the game's pre-order bonus content.
Players who pre-order the game get access to several in-game items, including the Scarecrow Sack and the Upside-down Teapot masks.
When pre-ordering the PC and PlayStation 4 version of the game players also get a wallpaper and the digital soundtrack. There will also be a Collector's Edition dubbed the Six Edition and includes the game itself, a miniature Six statue, the soundtrack on CD, an A3-sized poster and stickers.
Little Nightmares launches April 28th 2017 for PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
