Telltale Games has confirmed it has dismissed the majority of its employees. The studio will likely be closing its doors in the coming months.

According to a recent announcement, the decision comes following "a year marked by insurmountable challenges". The majority of the studio's developers and other employees were dismissed this morning.

The studio is currently still working with 25 of its 310 employees to "fulfill the company's obligations to its board and partners", including content for Minecraft: Story Mode.

The fate of the studio's portfolio of games, such as The Walking Dead, The Wolf Among Us 2 and Stranger Things, is still unknown and will be commented on in the weeks to come.
