The next update for the shooter game Insurgency: Sandstorm will be released later this month. The development team has been working on the update ever since it decided to delay the game's release.
The new update features several major changes compared to the current pre-purchase build, including migration to Unreal Engine 4.20, the new "Precinct" map, community dedicated servers and an improved server browser.
In addition, the update features new anti-aliasing and other additional graphical settings, low scope quality improvements, improvements to character animation and movement and various balance improvements.
More broadly speaking, the update also features numerous gameplay tweaks to movement speed, weapon mechanics, armour, fire support, map layouts, and hundreds of bug fixes and improvements.
The game was supposed to release in September but was delayed when a significant amount of players reported performance issues.
Insurgency: Sandstorm is scheduled to release on December 12, 2018.
