Publisher Activision has announced its 27th Call of Duty game titled Call of Duty: Black Ops 4. The game is being developed by development studio Treyarch.
The teaser trailer for the game that was released earlier today features scenes of all three previous Black Ops games and doesn't contain gameplay footage of the new title.
The third Black Ops game, Call of Duty: Black Ops 3, featured a futuristic setting and it is expected that the fourth game will follow the same trend. The third game received mixed user reviews on Steam when it released back in November 2015.
Activision is expected to release more information on May 17, 2018, during a "community reveal event". The publisher has released 15 main installment titles and 11 spin-offs thus far.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 releases on October 12, 2018, for PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
