Indie development studio Nightdive Studios has announced a new release window for its System Shock remaster. The game has been in development since 2016.
Development of the upcoming System Shock remaster was recently put on hold to "reassess" its path.
The game was originally advertised as a remaster but eventually changed into a completely new title. The prototype game was powered by the Unity game engine, but the studio has since switched the game over to Unreal Engine.
According to CEO Stephen Kick, the studio is still committed to delivering on its Kickstarter campaign promises and is now moving back to creating an experience that is closer to the original title.
