Bethesda has released a PC demo for the shooter game Prey. The demo was already available on Xbox One and PlayStation 4 since April 2017.
The demo version that is now also available on the PC includes the same features as the demo that was already available on Xbox one and PlayStation 4 since April 2017.
In addition, the new version features a trial mode that allows players to carry over existing progression to the full retail version if they decide to purchase the game.
Bethesda did not comment on why it took the company four months to release the demo on PC, but it is likely related to prioritizing gaming consoles over the PC platform and piracy fears.
When the game released in May, the PC version suffered from several game-breaking issues as a result of poor PC optimization, including missing field of view sliders, framerate issues and stability issues.
Prey released on May 5, 2017, for PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
