Indie development studio Bulkhead Interactive has released the 2.5 "Rescale" update for its shooter game Battalion 1944. The update includes many changes to the game.
According to a recent announcement, the new update increases the overall stability of the game to create the base for the studio to continue development as it heads towards the game's "Major Update 3" content release.
The most significant change in this update is that characters and environments have received a rescaling design pass. This results in characters now being 16% larger to make them easier to hit.
In addition, every single doorway, window, and headshot angle has been tweaked to compensate for the larger character model.
The update also features a wide range of other tweaks, such as movement speed increases, jump height reduction, strafe jump and crouch jump improvements and viewbob tweaks.
Aside from these significant changes, the update also features weapon balance tweaks, matchmaking optimizations, user interface improvements and bug fixes.
The next major update for the game, dubbed "Major Update 3" will feature a complete revamp of XP and reward systems. However, exact details have yet to be announced.
