Bandai Namco has released a new story trailer for the upcoming fighting game Dragon Ball FighterZ. The trailer sheds light on the "forbidden story" that was announced last month.
Dragon Ball FigherZ uses a 2.5D animation art style, meaning that, while characters are rendered in a 3D environment, they feature the traditional and iconic Dragon Ball anime art style that matches that of the original anime.
The game is currently in development at Ark System Works Co., a Japanese game development studio located in Yokohama, Japan. The studio is known for its involvement in the development of various 2D anime video games.
Aside from the game's story campaign it will also feature a 3 versus 3 character battle mode that allows different team formation strategies to be discovered, and an "ultra-fast battle mode" that is said to incorporate the "thrill of battle".
Dragon Ball FighterZ is expected to launch in February of 2018 for PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
