Publisher Rebellion has announced a remastered edition of Battlezone 2 titled Battlezone Combat Commander. The original game was released in 1999 by Pandemic.

The remastered edition of the game is said to feature cross-play between both the Steam and GOG releases for up to 14 players, achievements, cloud save support, mod support and a graphical overhaul.
The first Battlezone game also received a remastered edition in April 2016 titled Battlezone 98 Redux. A Battlezone virtual reality game is also available on Steam.

Battlezone Combat Commander is expected to launch in 2018 exclusively for PC. Players can sign up for a chance to be invited to the game's closed beta testing.
