Release group CONSPIR4CY, or CPY, has released a crack for the Denuvo-protected game Just Cause 3. The game has been protected by the DRM technology since its release in December of 2015.
The crack for the game that was released earlier this week removes the anti-piracy technology included in the game, allowing thousands to play the game without purchase by downloading it via illigitimate channels.
The game was considered to be one of the the few products that has enjoyed the longest protection from the Denuvo anti-piracy software because up until today no release group was able to break its protection scheme that prevented people from playing copied versions of the game.
The release of the crack is yet another title that can be added to the groups impressive list of cracked games, which already included DOOM, Rise of the Tomb Raider and Inside.
Anti-piracy software included in games has long been scrutinized for causing all sorts of issues, including crashes and frame rate issues. When Microsoft released Windows 10 in 2015 hundreds of games protected by anti-piracy techonology SecuROM stopped working.
Denuvo is currently being developed by the same company that also worked on SecuROM, making gamers around the world wary of issues that could make their purchased game unusable in the near future.
