Lizardcube has released a new developer diary video for Wonder Boy: The Dragon's Trap. The second developer diary video focuses on the game's music and sound design.
The game is the remake of the original 8-bit game Wonder Boy 3: The Dragon's Trap, which was released in 1989 for the popular Sega Master System and Sega Game Gear consoles.
Based on the original game, the memorable music of Shinichi Sakamoto, the soundtrack has been completely re-imagined by musician Michel Geyre, involving dozens of classical instrumentalists and different folk subsets.
Furthermore, this game's new atmosphere and its supporting sound effects have been adapted by Romain Gauthier to the new game’s graphic enhancements.
In August we published an interview with the game's developers following the announcement of the game, which also gives an insight into the development process.
The first video in the developer diary series also focused on the game's development process.
A release date for Wonder Boy: The Dragon's Trap has not yet been announced.
