Nintendo has opened registration for a closed beta test of Mario Kart Tour. The mobile racing game is scheduled to release this summer.
The closed beta test is taking place in May and interested players in the US and Japan are now able to apply for a chance to try out the game before its release. Whether European players will also be able to test the game despite it not being listed as supported region is unknown.
The closed beta build will only be available for Android devices. This is likely related to Apple not providing sufficient support for public beta testing of games and apps on its iOS platform.
The mobile racing game was delayed in February and is now scheduled for a worldwide summer release. Nintendo has not yet released any gameplay footage. It is expected that the final version will contain microtransactions and in-game purchases.
Those who are interested in participating in the closed beta test can fill in the form on the game's website. The test will take place between May 22, 2019, and June 4, 2019.
