Crysis 3 producer: "Free-to-play market is evolving"

Saturday, August 18, 2012 | 14:34 GMT

Crytek producer Mike Reed has stated that the company is currently in an interesting transition period.

Crytek has announced earlier this year that the company will shift focus torwards the free-to-play gaming market. The first upcoming game of Crytek in that sector is Warface, a free FPS game.

"Free-to-play is really interesting right now and it's constantly evolving. That's why we are actively monitoring this market and we hope to contribute to it with our upcoming title Warface."

Whether we will see a new Crysis title still remains to be seen, though Mike Reed goes on to add "Of course, I would love to see another Crysis title though right now we are finishing the trilogy first and then we'll look at the possibilities."
