The studio behind Little Big Planet, Media Molecule, has announced a new game at Sony's Media briefing at GamesCom 2012, Cologne, Germany, last Tuesday. The game called Tearaway will be available as a Playstation Vita exclusive.
The game revolves around a tiny character made out of paper called Iota. The player can control him by using analog sticks, touch controls and by using the back-facing touch panel. During the press conference a gameplay demo was shown utilizing some of these features.
The coolest, and perhaps most interesting feature of the game was the way that it uses the back-facing touch panel. Gamers can use this panel to control the world around Iota by tearing away part of the world to take out enemies or to intereact with it.
Whether the same play, create, share structure is making it's way to this game has yet to be seen though there has been word of a level editor being shipped with the game at launch.
