Nintendo has announced that the mobile Mario game Super Mario Run will be coming to Android devices this March. The game is already available for iOS devices.
Super Mario Run launched last month for iOS devices, but received mixed reviews in the first week of being available. When Nintendo first announced the game the company already confirmed that the game would eventually be released for Android devices.
Just like the iOS version of the game the Android version will also contain a function that checks if the device has a working internet connection. In the description of the Android version Nintendo warns users that the game requires the connection to be able to play.
In the game Mario will move on its own, allowing players to play the mobile game with one hand. Players are only able to control when Mario jumps to avoid obstacles or to reach platforms.
The small portion of the game is available for free. Players that wish to access all of the game's content will have to purchase it via in-app purchases for €9.99 or $9.99 USD.
A specific release date for the Android version of the game has not yet been given.
