Hello Games has released a new patch for the PC version of No Man's Sky. The new patch improves the performance of the game and fixes several bugs.
The new No Man's Sky patch released last night for both the Steam and GOG version of the game. The patch brings much-needed performance tweaks that increase the framerate of the game. Playtests indicate that the game now runs at roughly 60 frames per second, but random drops to 30 frames per second still occur.
The new patch also introduces a reworked Shader Caching system which, according to Hello Games, was to blame for framerate stuttering in the original version.
In addition the patch adds an option to enable mouse smoothing to prevent hitching or stuttering, support for using alt-tab in-game has been added and tweaks to the Max FPS Cap and GSync options.
According to Hello Games the patch will also allow the game run on AMD Phenom processors, but recent comments on the Steam store show that users who use that line of processors are still experiencing issues.
The next patch for No Man's Sky is expected to be released at the end of next week. Hello Games has not yet revealed what the patch will bring fans of the game.
