EA Games services are currently suffering from server outage due to thousands of players accessing its Origin service to play the open beta of Battlefield 1.

In a recent statement EA Games has confirmed the server outage. The company notes that all EA Games services, including Origin, EA support and its websites are experiencing issues.

The recent server outage is the umpteenth issue during the open beta of Battlefield 1. Earlier this week the code generation system used to issue open beta codes malfunctioned, leaving thousands of players without a working activation key.

Because of the server outage players will find themselves unable to log in to their Origin account, effectively preventing them from playing the Battlefield 1 open beta.

Games affected by the Origin server outage include Battlefield 1, Battlefield 4, Battlefield 3, Battlefield Hardline, Star Wars Battlefront, FIFA 2016, NHL 2016 and Madden NFL 2016.

According to an EA Games spokesperson the company is currently working "as fast as possible" to resolve the issues. A timeframe was not given.
