The PC version of No Man's Sky has received thousands of negative reviews following the game's launch earlier today. The game's performance is said to be the biggest issue.
PC Gamers have posted thousands of negative reviews on the No Man's Sky Steam store page today as they discovered that the game is plagued with performance issues. In the negative reviews gamers are recommended to request a refund through Steam Support.
Players are reporting that the game's frame rate can easily drop below 30, even on systems with high-end specifications.
Aside from the frame rate several reviews report frequent stuttering and blurry graphics to also hinder gameplay. The game also does not seem to support the ability to alt-tab in and out the game.
Now that gamers have found the game to be unplayable due to the reported issues, they are questioning whether Hello Games, the developer of the game, has spent sufficient time playtesting the PC version of the game.
The developer has also chosen to not send out review copies prior to the release of the game, making it impossible for third parties to identify performance issues early on.
Hello Games has yet to comment on the poor PC performance of No Man's Sky.
No Man's Sky is currently available for purchase through Steam and GOG for a retail price of €59.99.
