Valve has released a new update for Dota 2, the widely popular MOBA game. The update brings several changes to the game such as changes to ranked modes, new gameplay features and skill balance changes. The mode Ranked All Pick include the addition of a 15-second voting phase to ban heroes before the picking phase begins. Each player votes for a different hero. Afterwards, half of the heroes that were voted on will be randomly selected and banned.
The update also brings a new "Scan" ability to both teams that allows teams to select an area for eight seconds and indicates whether or not it contains foes. Enemy teams will not be able to detect usage of the scan ability. This will hopefully create a new dimension to the game making for more exciting matches.
Other notable changes include skill balance changes and HP increases. The starting HP has increased from 180 to 200 and HP per stength has been increased from 19 to 20. Hero base mana has also been increased from 0 to 50 and mana per int reduced from 13 to 12.
The Dota 2 6.87 update will be available within the next few days and can be tested right now using the Dota 2 test client. A full list of changes is available on the game's official website.
