The layout of several new Guild Wars 2 Player versus Player maps have been released online after a dataminer found the new maps in the game's resource files.

The new maps feature a variety of landscapes that relate to the starter areas of the game's playable races Sylvari, Asura and Human. Almost all of the four newly discovered maps are labeled as "test", indicating that the developers of the game may still be working on them.

The new maps are called MapPVPConquestArenaGods2, MapPVPConquestTest__01, MapPVPConquestTest__02 and MapPVPConquestTest__04.

The dataminer that found the new maps goes by the handle that_shaman. The user regularly posts updates of newly found Guild Wars 2 discoveries.

In a recent post on Reddit the dataminer explains that the maps were also available in the game's files years ago but were removed shortly after.

With the release of the recent Guild Wars 2 Halloween update updated versions of the four maps appeared in the game's files, indicating that they may be officially announced soon.
