Ubisoft has announced that it will stop support for Ghost Recon Phantoms. The free-to-play title launched in 2012 as Clancy's Ghost Recon Online.
In the announcement the development studio states that the game has failed to meet expectations. As a result the development studio will take down the game's servers on December 1st.
The game's development started in 2012 when Ubisoft launched the beta version of the game. It wasn't until April 2014 that the game would finally get out of its beta phase.
In Ghost Recon Phantoms players could select 3 different classes to play with: Assault, Recon, and Support. The game featured team-based game modes such as including Conquest, Onslaught, and Holdout.
Players who have purchased in-game currency will not be compensated and will thus be required to spend their remaining currency in-game before Ubisoft drops support for the game in December.
